I doubt any blogger is supposed to write apologies for not writing, but I must. Basically I am entirely too busy with work and working on a political campaign. As most of you know, Pennsylvania is the new battleground for the Democrats. Things just picked up considerably.

As much as I love what I do, May will be a much better month. After Ohio & Co. had their primaries, with the results assuring us that whatever work we had to come was surely going to be tripled, I received numerous out-of-state emails asking how to help.

Over the next few weeks I’m spending my time:
- Registering people to vote; hey, if you need to get Party registered (we have a closed Primary) or just get registered let me know. I am armed with forms.

- Trying to get the word out about events, get people connected, and promotion lined up for events listed below…

- Tanya and I are organizing a few events to get people registered, informed, and excited about the primary before the cut off, March 24th.
INCLUDING:
* Sign Up, Get Down: Come dance, eat, drink & register to vote with friends.
Friday, March 14th @ the Shadow Lounge on Baum Blvd.
9 Pm, Ages 18 & up
*Lefty Thursday: Happy Hour for those ‘left of center’. Have a cocktails with Pittsburgh’s freshest minds and bring your friends; its not about politics its about change!

Thursday, March 20th,  @ AVA on S. Highland
5- 8 PM, 21 & Up

These events are open to everyone, especially those looking to get informed or who feel way more comfortable having drinks instead of attending political meetings!

- Also an awesome Fundraiser/Benefit in Barack Obama’s Honor on Sunday, March 16th  6 PM@ Shadow Lounge… lots of entertainment, raffles, and great community supporters will be present, along with Josh Hall donating his time and talent in an acoustic set for the evening!

-Perhaps going to be joining a gym (kick-boxing classes!) soon.

-Finally getting an iPod

- Last but not least, I really need to do my taxes.

Let me know if you want any more info on the social events sponsored by the Pittsburgh for Obama group, want to tell me why you support Clinton or McCain, or if you’d like to assist me in my 1040EZ.
I’m open to all or any folks.

And to Juergen, I apologize I have not written my manifesto. It will come.

Cheers

Congratulations to Barack Obama and his team on winning Wisconsin and Hawai’i.

In other news:

An article was cirrculated that Hillary Clinton has failed to file the full list of PA Delegates. I know that here in Western Pennsylvania we were running around collecting signatures for all of our delegates and being sure to get Barack Obama on the ballot for all the Congressional Districts.

The author of the reference article points out, that not only is this not good for their strategy to take as many delegates as possible, it seems to contradict Hillary’s claim to have extensive political experience and to be “ready to lead on day 1″.

However, what no one seemed to mention, is if the delegates left out were strategic in the fact they knew they did not have time to get signatures for everyone, so the eliminated those endorsing Obama. No matter, she still should have covered all her bases, and perhaps they underestimated the importance of Pennsylvania as a primary state.

She is really backing herself into a corner with Texas and Ohio.
My German friend has asked me to write a political blog on Obama and the Presidential campaign for those on his side of the pond, and in turn he’ll be sharing his enthusiasm and hopes for the next American President, so that will be in the coming weeks.

Cheers & Dears
